Air Conditioning Replacement

As part of the Goldfields Oasis Masterplan, the City is pleased to have completed the Oasis Basketball Courts Air Conditioning Replacement Project. This important upgrade has delivered a modern, reliable climate control system, improving comfort for players, spectators, clubs, and visitors, and ensuring the facility continues to meet community needs for years to come.

Project Details

Phase 1 – Enabling and preparatory works completed

September to October 2025
Initial works focused on preparing the site for the new system. This included the removal of all six (6) existing air-conditioning units, completion of minor building works, construction of new slabs and concrete upstands, and associated stormwater discharge works.

Phase 2 – Installation works completed

October to November 2025
Installation of the new system was undertaken, with all nine (9) air-conditioning units installed within the plant rooms. External ductwork and internal ductwork across the basketball courts were completed during this phase.

Phase 3 – Commissioning and finalisation

November 2025 to January 2026
The system was commissioned and became fully operational. Court temperatures were set between 24 °C and 25°C, with final testing and inspections scheduled for completion in January 2026.
