Phase Three - Hay Street Link to Town Centre Shared User Path Project
About the funding
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder received a grant from the Department of Transport’s Western Australian Bicycle Network (WABN), to extend the city’s Cycling Network:
Hay Street Link to Town Centre Shared User Path:
- Planning, design and construction completed February 2026.
- Project Cost: $1,119,845.85, and was co-funded by the State Government.
- City Contribution: $761,166.00
- DoT Contribution: $380,583.00
The completed SUP runs 1895 meters and was developed to connect these paths with the existing cycling network. It provides access to key destinations including Town Centre, Gribble Creek SUP- secondary route, Rotary Peace Park, Usher Park, Centennial Park and the City’s admin building.
This initiative allows residents and visitors the ability to walk, wheel or ride in a safe and sustainable way.
