Future of events in our city
In 2023, the City invited community members to provide feedback to help inform the development of an Events Strategy. The Strategy will ensure the City is delivering, sponsoring, and attracting the best events and activities for the benefit of our community.
The new Events Strategy will be a three-year guiding document that will align with the aspirations of the City’s Strategic Community Plan 2020 – 2030.
Information received from community and stakeholder consultation will play a vital part in developing the strategy and guiding the direction for future events. We want to find out what types of events the community wants and where those events should be held to ensure we provide a diverse and accessible program of events which appeal to a wide audience.
In addition to the City playing an important role in the delivery of events, we also aspire to work in partnership to support community-led events and initiatives across Kalgoorlie-Boulder. This feedback will also allow the City to explore the interest of community groups and stakeholders to collaborate on future events.
Ongoing Feedback
While we're preparing the City's Events Strategy, we are seeking feedback from event attendees following each City event to ensure continous improvement.
