A refresh for the Endowment Block

We're undertaking painting works along the Endowment Block, on Hannan Street helping to preserve and enhance one of our beautiful heritage streetscapes. This includes shopfronts, verandahs and structural elements at ground level, starting from the shop next to the Kalgoorlie Town Hall to St Barbara's Square.

These works are an early stage of a $1 million upgrade across the Endowment Block, with further improvements planned in the future.

Works will include:

• Painting of ground level shopfronts (including doors and windows)
• Painting of verandah posts and under-verandah structures

What you need to know:

Works will occur in two stages:

1. Preparation (including cleaning and light sanding)
2. Painting

Work will mostly be undertaken via an elevated work platform.

Businesses will remain open, and pedestrians will still be able to walk on the footpath, access shops and park along Hannan Street as per normal.

Works Schedule

Works will take place two shopfronts at a time. Painting will start closest to the Kalgoorlie Town Hall and move toward St Barbara’s Square.

Preparation works will take place outside of peak trading times wherever possible to minimise distruption.
