Beam is WA's largest shared micromobility company operating in 7 cities, with 200 shared e-scooters available across Kalgoorlie-Boulder. We’re on a mission to turn little drives into better rides, and make cities flow better for everyone.

How to hire a Beam e-scooter

Getting started is easy, simply :

  1. Download the Beam app from the App Store or Google Play and locate a Beam e-scooter using the map in app.
  2. Scan QR code on handlebar to unlock the e-scooter and follow the instructions on the app.
  3. Check all equipment, including the brakes, and wear a helmet before you ride. Push off on the e-scooter to get it moving, then press the ‘Go’ button gently.
  4. Release ‘Go’ button gently to reduce your speed or pull firmly on the brake levers on the handlebar.
  5. Park kerbside in a safe place on the footpath away from pedestrians. And, place the e-scooter back on its kickstand before ending the trip.

For enquiries regarding specific trips please do the following.

  1. Enter "Trip History" in the main app menu.
  2. Select the ride you have a dispute or question regarding.
  3. Click on "Contact Support" in the bottom right hand of that ride screen.
