Help shape the proposed Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mountain Bike Facility
Kalgoorlie-Boulder is home to an active and growing bike community, with the recently completed pump track proving popular with local young people.
Common Ground Trails is seeking community input on a preliminary concept design for a proposed mountain bike facility behind the existing BMX track, a project supported by the State Government.
The concept design includes a core network of mountain bike jump lines for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders, with three additional feature options being considered: dirt jump lines, an extreme rated MTB jump line, or a skills circuit.
Explore the concept design options below, then complete the short feedback form to let Common Ground Trails know which option you prefer and what features you would like to see included.
Common Ground Trails will also be available to discuss the concept design and hear community feedback in person.

Review the concept designs
The core concept includes a set of mountain bike jump lines starting from an elevated start mound, with beginner, intermediate and advanced jump-line options. A return trail would take riders back to the start mound.
The concept also includes supporting features such as shelter, seating, landscaping and tree planting to provide shade and places for riders to rest and socialise.
Option 1: Dirt Jump Lines
This option includes a dedicated set of dirt jump lines in addition to the core MTB jump lines.
The dirt jump lines are designed for riders looking for a more technical and freestyle-style riding experience, with features that reward timing, confidence and bike control.
Option 2: Extreme Rated Jump Line
This option includes an extreme rated MTB jump line in addition to the core MTB jump lines.
The line is designed for advanced riders and would include larger jump features focused on amplitude and higher-level progression.
Option 3: Skills Circuit
This option includes a skills circuit in addition to the core MTB jump lines.
The skills circuit would include technical trail features such as rock gardens, balance beams or skinnies, elevated drops and roll overs, allowing riders to practise and improve specific bike-handling skills.
