Welcome
Inclusive, accessible communities benefit us all.
Kalgoorlie-Boulder is a diverse community with a wide range of needs, and the City is committed to fostering independence for those of all abilities, ensuring everybody can engage in everyday services as well as actively participate in the fantastic opportunities the City offers.
We are reviewing the Access and Inclusion Plan (AIP) to
ensure it continues to meet the needs of our community. Your input is valuable
as we work towards a renewed plan for Council endorsement by June 2026.
About the Access and Inclusion Plan
The Access and Inclusion Plan aims to make the City’s services and facilities more open, inclusive, and accessible for everyone. We want to ensure all sectors of the community have the opportunity to provide meaningful input into the direction of the new Plan, which aims to incorporate contemporary practices that go beyond minimum compliance requirements.
Consultation will include surveys (online and hard copy) and targeted face-to-face engagement with stakeholders, service providers, people with lived experience, and the wider community.
This Plan will serve as our guide to advancing access and inclusion for everyone.
Access and Inclusion Reference Group
Expressions of Interest are invited to join an Access and Inclusion Reference Group, which will provide valuable community insight and advice to inform the development of the Access and Inclusion Plan 2026–2028.
This voluntary group will include individuals representing various backgrounds, abilities, and experiences who will collaborate with the City to help develop initiatives, provide insights, and assist in community consultations to ensure programs, services, and facilities are inclusive and accessible for all.
People aged 18 years and over who experience access and inclusion barriers are encouraged to apply. This includes people with disability, their families and carers, seniors, parents with prams, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and people who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Applications close 5pm, Friday 27 February, 2026.
Hard copies can be found at the City Administration Building, Eastern Goldfields Community Centre and William Grundt Memorial Library.
